Sensor Technology and Heating Control for Improving the process Reliability in Semi-Solid Forming Processes

The modern forming technology like the Semi-Solid Metal Forming uses special flow characteristics of alloys in their part-liquid condition to unite the advantages of different conventional forming procedures. Before the reforming process reheating of blanks is done by inductive heating facilities. Reaching a defined and homogeneous final state poses special challenges for sensor technology and process control.
