The aim of this study is to assess an effect of norepinephrine (NE) on urine output in the septic shock patients.Material & Methods: A retrospective study involved 44 patients with sepsis, 15 patients without and 29 patients with NE infusion (titration doses from 0,05 - to 5 ig/kg b.w./minute) to preserve the mean arterial pressure (MAP) > 70 mmHg. Patients with head trauma or head surgical procedures, diabetes mellitus, high abdominal pressure, previous renal insufficiency were excluded.Results: 15 patients without NE (34%) were survive and had normal urine output (0,8 (+-)0,55 ml/kg/h ), 18 patients with NE (41%) were survive and had MAP > 70 mmHg and normal urine output (0,75 (+-) 0,45 ml/kg/ h), 11 patients with NE (25%) were death and had MAP < 70 mmHg and low urine output (0,15 (+-) 0,25 ml/kg/h)
