A high-temperature solid-state reaction technique was used for the preparation of thepolycrystalline sample of Y3Fe5O(12)Structural and microstructural analyses exhibited a single-phase formation of the compound with a uniform distribution of grains throughout the surface ofthe sample. Detailed study on impedance spectroscopy was carried out in a wide range offrequency (10~2-10~6Hz) and temperatures (30 – 500~0 C). A dielectric anomaly observed at 282~0Cassumed to be related to the magnetoelectric response of the material. The grain and grainboundary contributions are observed from complex impedance spectrum at high temperatures(≥150~0C) by the appearance of two semicircular arcs. Study of magnetization using VSM showsthat the saturation magnetization of sample at room temperature is found to be 22.8 emu/gm atroom temperature.
