THE JOINT COMMITTEE OF THE REGIONAL METROLOGY ORGANIZATIONS AND THE BIPM, JCRB

Dr Pedro Espina from the NIST (United States) ended his three year term as JCRB Executive Secretary after the 20th meeting of the JCRB, May 2008. Prof. Luis Mussio from LATU (Uruguay) was selected to be the JCRB Executive Secretary for the next two year period. The JCRB felt the need to formalize the operation of its meetings and to that end, the JCRB has developed rules of procedure, defining the process for arriving at decisions, voting rights for members of the Joint Committee, and the quorum needed to hold meetings.
