Additives for improving the scratch and mar resistance of polyolefin resins and compounds have been researched extensively. Struktol Company of America has developed a new, unique additive technology that provides a non-fogging solution for many of the typical processing and performance related issues encountered in the polypropylene resin and compound industries. This new technology has been demonstrated to significantly reduce visible scratch and mar effects in a variety of compound types (TPE, TPO and filled/reinforced) while at the same time providing improved overall processability and maintained physical properties such as impact strength and flexural modulus across a range of additive loading levels. We do this by uniquely modifying the surface and decreasing surface drag using non-blooming technology.
