摘要

This paper is to investigate the geological prediction in front of the working face during the tunneling. As the tunneling is a dynamic process and each detection method has its adaptability, an integrated geological prediction system was proposed. The system divided the prediction process into four stages. The four geological prediction stages are complement and verification for each other to achieve a reliable geological prediction result. The system was then applied to a practical geological prediction of Doupengshan Tunnel on the high speed railway from Guiyang to Guangzhou, China. From the application, a finalized geological prediction result was obtained, which suggested that the system can obtain a reliable geological prediction result.
