Plansee is pursuing the engineering, customized development as well as the pilot series production of powder-metallurgical processed interconnect components for planar SOFC application. Sulzer Metco utilizes efficient coating solutions to apply protective coatings using advanced plasma spray technology. Both companies are working closely together in order to gain a sound know-how in industrializing ready-to-stack interconnects for various applications. An outlook is given about the current status of process reliability, recent results of material and component evaluation and further need for improvements.
