The effect of vanadium on static recrystallization kinetic of V-microalloyed carbon steel, in terms of design of hot rolled product destined to the manufacture of tubes ERW (Electric Resistant Welding) with low diameter has been determined in the hot rolling facilities. This paper show the relationship between competitiveness of Vanadium as microalloy as promoter of acicular ferrite to the C-steel formation, and the main process parameters on industrial scale. We have evaluated the material grain size before the entry to finishing mill, the disposition and thermal affectation of descaling systems, all process temperatures, the scheme of reductions; and other control parameters of the final properties of the product. A uniform descaling over the entire width of the rolled strip has not has proved to be advantageous with regard to chemistry of HSLA design flexibility and product availability. Based on the experimental results, the technological solutions to achieve a limit of inhomogeneous temperatures are adopted in order to promote isotropic properties such as bendability, in longitudinal or transverse directions.
