Many researchers found that original process plans are being modified in practice in order to accommodate changes in the shop floor. These modifications are typically carried out by non-professional process planners and eventually lead to a conflict between scheduling activities and process planning functions. Products going out of dimensioning during production are a main cause of process planning infeasibility. This paper introduces an integrated model that simultaneously serves three purposes: allocating operational tolerances, minimizing products lateness, and figuring operation-machines assignments. The results demonstrated by an example proved the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
