It is essential to reduce the length of stay and provide good quality care to patients while they are in the Emergency Department (ED) at a hospital. Overcrowding decreases quality care and efficiency of the ED therefore, affecting hospitals' profitability. It is known that the satisfaction of ED patients is related to the length of stay, especially the amount of wait time for medical treatments. The purpose of this study is to predict the number of patients arriving at ED and establish a forecasting model of number of ED patient arrivals.
