Cross domain interoperability between fighter and mobility platform networks aligns with the DoD's force transformation to expand the mission effectiveness of the warfighter. The combination of technological necessity and affordability makes the information management system the key to the future of interoperability. This is critical to improving mission effectiveness and capability, while helping to protect the lives of our servicemen. The use of High Assurance Multi-Level Security (MLS) guards is also critical to getting the information needed to the operators that needing it, even if they are not cleared to the same level as others on the network. Looking at current fielded mobility systems and the use of network interfaces that allow data to be moved from IP based networks to existing networks so they can be used without major modifications, a high degree of cost savings can be realized. Boeing has developed a data guard device, the Secure Network Server (SNS) to assure that information reaches only the desired recipients. The SNS allows for information passing between different security enclaves as well as communication filtering between various parties. This paper will describe the development and use of these systems as part of live, virtual, and constructive simulations, the results, and future planned usage using real time simulators.
