APPLICATION ON AUXILIARY CALCULATION PROGRAMME OF SUBSTATION ELECTRICITY DESIGN IN TEACHING

Optimizing teaching content and adopting advanced means are main methods to adapt time request and cultivate innovative talents. To improve the teaching effect of "Power Plants Electricity" and "Power System Analysis", students are organized to develop the auxiliary calculation programme of transformer substation electricity design, which can be used to calculate the short circuit, grounding, lighting protection, conductor choice and so on. In addition, the program is also used to theory teaching as a tool, experimental teaching as a computer simulation programme, curriculum and graduate design as an opening platform. The students participated in the whole process of developing, testing, perfecting and applying, and they dealt with some complex problems with developing ideas and creative thinking, so the studying interest of them are exciting, which helped them to finish the curriculum design and thesis. Part of the program has been perfected and can be used to try out for electric design company. The abilities of teaching and scientific research are increased through developing and applying the auxiliary calculation programme of substation electricity design, the teaching effect and efficiency are also improved.
