摘要

Hydrogen is a clean fuel and energy carrier. Currently, main processes for hydrogen production are steam methane reforming, coal gasification, partial oxidation of heavy oil and electrolysis of water. With a growing concern regarding global climate changes, biomass has been proposed as an alternative to fossil fuels for hydrogen production due to its renewability and CO2 neutrality. One of technical routes for production of hydrogen rich gas from biomass is pyrolysis of biomass combined with secondary decomposition of pyrolytic vapors shown in figure 1.
