Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) have been paid a lot attention during last two decades because it has a lower cost and easier manufacturing process comparing to existing photovoltaics. Since it was discovered by Gratzel’s group in 1991 , DSSCs based on ruthenium complex have been widely developed and the power conversion efficiency (PCE) as high as 11.9% was achieved . Recent years, dyes based on donor-π linker-acceptor (D-π-A) structure were also developed Comparing to ruthenium complex, D-π-A structure dyes have several advantages such as easier modification, even lower cost and various absorption.
