摘要

In the first part of this study the three-dimensional continuous dynamic model of a multi-span carrying cable for a bicable aerial ropeway system is formulated. Nonlinear differential equations of spatial cable vibrations are derived by analyzing equilibrium conditions of forces acting on a differential cable element in a deformed state. The Green-Lagrange deformation is assumed and Hooke’s law is valid. In the second part, in-plane cable vibrations induced by moving passenger carriers are considered. Special attention is devoted to the problem of modeling dynamic loads on the carrying cable due to carriers running with constant speed. The multi-mass pendulum model of a carrier is introduced and the simplified model that treats a carrier as a moving point mass is considered. Equations of motion of the system composed of the carrying cable and moving passenger carriers are derived on the basis of Ritz approximate method combined with Lagrange equations. Some illustrative numerical examples are included to demonstrate applicability of the proposed method for predicting and analyzing linear and nonlinear vibrations of given aerial bicable ropeway.
