The system includes a rectangular frame (2) mounted on a vehicle chassis, and an upright pylon (6) supported by a cross-member (8) and held firm by the vehicle's weight. The pylon supports at least one load-carrying cable (13) with a movable load-carrying truck (27) riding along it. A control cable (29) causes the truck to move along the load-carrying cable. Further cables (32) connect the load (7) to the truck. The vehicle frame includes a transverse jack-operated mechanism to control transfer of the vehicle's weight to the cross-member. USE/ADVANTAGE - Lightweight, easily transportable conveyor mechanism for smaller sites.
