摘要

The chemical stability of electrode/electrolyte-interfaces is correlated with the performance and the long term stability of a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. Under operating conditions the chemical stability is affected by the polarization of the electrode. In this work the stability of the LSM-cathode/8YSZ-electrolye interface (LSM: La_(1-x-u)Sr_xMnO_(3+δ), 8YSZ: 8 mol% Y_2O_3 doped ZrO_2) was analyzed using the software MALT. Chemical potential diagrams of the cathode/electrolyte-interface have been calculated. The electrode polarization was considered by the related decrease in oxygen activity. A comparison with experimental results showed that this kind of chemical potential diagram provides valuable information about the stability of a cathode/electrolyte-interface under operating conditions.
