摘要

Possibility to derive the physical parameters of the binary systemcomponents from an analysis of the orbital light curves is shown on the exampleof well-known dwarf nova SS Cyg. It was done by approximation of the observedlight curves by synthetic light curves constructed in frame of classical hot-spotmodel. The shape of the light curves of SS Cyg is mainly determined by ellip-soidal variations of the optical component. Despite of the contribution of thehot spot to the total optical flux of this system is rather small, eclipses of thehot spot (between orbital phases 0.1-0.6) distort the pure ellipsoidal light curveof SS Cyg. Account for such distortions allows us to derive parameters of thebinary components (masses, radii and temperatures) more precisely.
