摘要

Three different methods of hydrogen desorption temperature reduction and desorption kinetics improvement of nanostructured hydrides are discussed. The first method is based on substantial hydride particle size refinement. The second method utilizes catalytic effects of nanometric n-Al_2O_3, n-Y_2O_3 and n- Ni additives. The third method is based on compositing of nanohydride mixtures. The composite approach is applied to the MgH_2 plus NaBH_4 and LiAlH_4 systems. The particle size reduction causes formation of unstable MgH_2 phase, the nano additives improves kinetics and composite behavior of nanohydrides results in destabilization of the high temperature component.
