Shape control of nanostructures is a crucial step for nanophotonic dev ice fabrication. In chemical synthesis method, the growth of the metal nanostructures is highly dependent on the capping agents and solvent environment. Therefore, complicated metal nanostructures. such as linked nanoparticles. branches distinct from conventional metal nanomaterials can be obtained by-changing the type of capping agents and solv ents. In this presentation, we showed the fabrication of metal nanostructures with complicated shapes by chemical multistep methods. We also inv estigated the spectroscopic properties of the obtained metal nanostructures and discussed their potential applications in nanophotonic dev ices.
