This paper describes the investigations on the hot corrosion resistance of Detonation gun sprayed (D-gun) Al_2O_3-3 wt % TiO_2 coatings on Boiler Steel T11 in Na_2SO_4 - V_2O_5 molten salt. Al_2O_3-3 wt % TiO_2 coatings were produced on steel substrates using detonation gun technique. The hot corrosion resistance of the coatings was studied in Na_2SO_4-V_2O_5 environment using weight change techniques Investigation of the microstructure and characteristics of the coatings after the preparation was performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The corrosion products were analyzed by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The obtained results showed an improvement of the corrosion resistance of T11 boiler steel with alumina titania coatings.
