This paper makes an approach to calculate the load assumptions of wind turbines (WT) during Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) cases. A suitable simulation environment is implemented in order to investigate the load behavior of WT during voltage dips in the electrical network. Sets with typical voltage dips at the CP are defined and the resulting load cases are simulated. The loads of the WT are evaluated according extreme and fatigue load level. For the calculation of fatigue loads, a simplified method is derived in order to reduce the required extent of simulation time. Certification of the load assumptions comprising LVRT cases is proposed to account for such influences in the design of WT.
