摘要

The common rotor blade design of wind energy converters has a cylindrical root. This causes flow separation and is a strongly discussed field in wind energy research. Due to centrifugal forces the separated flow is pressed outwards on the rotating blades causing losses for the wind turbines. The analysis and simulation of this phenomenon is therefore a major topic in the research of wind energy aerodynamics [2].
