Critical Values for the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test Based on the Generating Function

摘要

Tables of the Wilcoxon signed rank statistic are sometime inaccurate. This paper presents a method to generate more accurate tables that are much more extensive than have been proposed to date. This method is based on the generating function, and also used to provide a measure of various significance levels. An asymptotic approximating of the Wilcoxon statistic by a normal distribution is also briefly present.
