摘要

In this paper is presented a new electrical contact type, with rotation movement, which provide some improvements in electric arc extinction, also in electromechanical drive system. The movable contact has a cylindrical shape with the possibility to turn round about a shaft. Specific to this contact, concerning the switch apparatus with contacts with electrical hard work regime in arc extinction, is its rotation motion with effect on the improvement of arc quenching, due to the permanent cooling of the arc plasma and forced arc stretching. Also this mobile contact type provide a linear and flexible mechanical characteristic for the electromagnet. The advantages of the rotate contacts are fast arc extinction and a convenient mechanical characteristic for the electromagnet drive system with low costs.
