摘要

We present a new single fluid kinetic equation and accompanying continuum hydrodynamic model for multicomponent gases. The new model follows the volume diffusion (bi-velocity hydrodynamics) concept involving each gaseous species. A method to derive accompanying constitutive equations is presented. It is shown that the new mixture continuum model alleviates some of the problems related to other standard approaches and may be better suited to deal with complex fluids involving large number of species.
