摘要

The more stringent environmental regulations recently enacted throughout the world have increased the need of more active hydrotreating (HDT) catalysts. Accordingly to the U.S.A regulations, the sulphur content in gasoline should be as low as 10 ppm by 2011; this has led to research different kinds of catalysts that could improve the HDT processes. Basically the approach has been to explore: a) new supports, b) noble metal catalysts, c) zeolite containing combinations and d) new compositions.
