摘要

The pedometer is an instrument which count step number by perception of vertical movement during walking. It consists of monitor window that display the step number, lever arm, spring and electric circuit, typically. Recently, CDC and ACSM of the United States reported that 10,000 (=10K) steps per day is suitable to maintain healthily. Many research on intervention of physical exercise increased the step number using pedometer. However, step number return to former stages after finish of intervention. By reason of that the usual pedometer receives feedback by step information only self-monitoring, if forget time of self-monitoring, it is difficult to attain goal of 10K steps for a day. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop algorithms which operate pedometer. This pedometer manages and guides the goal attainment in cost reduction aspect. And effect of feedback by the automatic-monitoring compared to that by the self-monitoring on goal attainment.
