SCALING RELATIONS AMONG (p,nx) and (p,px) CONTINUOUS SPECTRA AT INTERMEDIATE ENERGIES

If one assumes a simple single-scattering model for the emission of low energy loss nucleons from intermediate energy proton beams on nuclear targets, scaling relations can be derived that should relate data for a range of beam energies, angles and nuclear masses. Two such systems are examined for (p,nx) reactions on heavy nuclei, with the goal of providing means to intercompare data, make interpolations and allow modest extrapolations of very difficult data sets.
