Combustion flue gas scrubbing using DynaWave~R Reverse Jet scrubbers

There are several types of industrial furnaces and each of them is present in a broad range of industries. The flue gas emitted from these furnaces can contain almost any impurity or, for some specific cases be limited to only few. In the Reference Document on Best Available Techniques for large combustion plants, which is recently published, it is described how complex the Flue Gas Technology needs to be to comply with the current European Directive (2000/76/EC). However this article shows some specific case studies where a DynaWave~R Wet scrubber is able to comply with this European Directive, with a minimum of other technologies involved. In a first case study a dioxin filter could be saved by installing the DynaWave~R scrubber directly at the outlet of an incinerator. In a second case study the emission limits for a cement kiln were met by the combination of an ESP and a DynaWave~R scrubber. In a third case study the DynaWave~R scrubber was successfully combined with Brink mist eliminators to handle the flue gas coming of halogenated liquid waste.
