Augmented and Virtual Reality Research for Tower Control at Airports

摘要

This paper gives an overview of virtual and augmented reality research within the domain of Air Traffic Control (ATC). Starting from potential drivers for this research and from an overview of past work, we focus on the challenges of the airport tower environment and conclude by revisiting the original vision of the "virtual tower".
