I'm a project manager in an unit called Prospective & Innovative Design, that is attentive to surprising evolutions (rather than predictable one) in urban mobility. We try to perceive the logical changes in concepts, ways of thinking, etc…that seems for us to have a high potential of innovation. Our strategy is to operate any mode (bus, tram, metro, suburban train), anywhere and at any stage (conception, operation & maintenance). That's why we want to increase our capacity for innovation, especially by renewing our vision of mobility. For that, we try to enlarge our knowlegde with research (neuroscience and cognition for instance), studies, benchmarking, seminaries, in order to provoke changes and evolution in our company. So I want to warn you that I'm not a technician, who is able to give you precise datas and statistics. I'm actually a engineer specialising in innovation and projects management. I've gathered for you some figures and pictures to show you what were doing in France (and not only in RATP), but my main contribution here will be the second part of my speech : what is new in the bus line concept and what new fields of research could be investigated ?
