Basic Principles of Endogenous Peptide Immunoregulators Action

It is known that the most of endogenous regulators have protein or peptide nature and the basic principle of their action is ligand-receptor interaction. We revealed a group of bone marrow immunoregulatory peptides, named myelopeptides (MPs). They are isolated from the supernatant of porcine bone marrow cell culture and display various types of biological activities. We have established that they directly act to the damaged link of immunity causing no side effects and the ligand-receptor interaction underlies their biological action. In that paper the basic principles of the endogenous peptide immunoregulators action have demonstrated by the example of MPs.
