摘要

The presence of antibiotics in wastewater has increased in the last years, and thus their abatement has emerged as a new environmental challenge. AOPs (Advanced Oxidation Processes) have proved to be effective to remove a large variety of pollutants, including high toxic and non biodegradable organic compounds. The aim of this study is the evaluation of photocatalysis as a suitable process to degrade an antibiotic, the sulfamethoxazole, by using TiO_2 in suspension as catalyst.
