The antitumor drug carrier Folate-polyethylene glycol (Folate-PEG) was investigated for tumor and lymph targeting using a fluorescein-labeled technique. Folic acid was reacted with H2N-PEG-NH2 to synthesize Folate-PEG by using a dicyclohexylcarbodiimide coupling procedure. After purification by anion-exchange chromatography, the product was reacted with FITC. The unreacted FITC was combined with aminepropanol, and then removed by size exclusion chromatography.
