Ovarian Hyperstimidation Syndrome Prophylaxis and Management

Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) is a nightmare for all those working in the field of assisted reproduction techniques (ART).It is an iatrogenic complication following ovarian induction therapy that can lead to severe morbidity or even mortality. The reported incidence of OHSS varies from 1% to 10% of IVF cycles. The severe form is rare, with an incidence of 0.5% to 5%. Spontaneous ovarian Hyperstimulation is rare during pregnancy especially in multiple or molar pregnancy.
