VFT SBIR Major Accomplishments: Re-wrote from scratch graphical user interface (GUI); Thermal Solver (CTSP) runs on multiple processors (speed improvement); Weld Specific UMAT of VFT tailored to run on WARP3D in threads and MPI + threads environment (ABAQUS also); Convergence algorithm improved for the complexities of the thermal plasticity based weld problem. Divergence often occurred prior to this; Time stepping algorithm - forward for WARP3D: Multiple processor performance superior to commercial code; Eliminates the need for multiple ABAQUS licenses; Major problem for many companies; WARP3D great for fracture problems.
