摘要

The fire safety design rules usually are basing on the results of fire tests on single components according to standard temperature-time curve. This simplified design basis leads to an uneconomical design in most cases. By considering the realistic fire development and the feasibility of load redistributions in the overall load bearing system an economical and adequate fire safety design of steel constructions is enabled.
