We plan to discuss several related topics: 1) Overall 30,000 foot view of the BACT process 2) A variety of key issues to examine during the BACT process as they pertain to Carbon Capture and Sequestration 3) Discuss a series of issues that should allow you to build a strong case as to why CCS is not applicable to your process. Finally, we will close with a few points of guidance with regard to dealing with the GHG BACT documentation issue. Let's start with a few slides to give you a proper background on the GHG Regulatory scene and set the stage for the GHG BACT process. Then we will launch into a detailed discussion of the CCS issue. Our goal in this talk is to give you a good understanding of what USEPA has asked for in a BACT analysis and some good approaches to building an iron-clad BACT analysis that will withstand USEPA scrutiny.
