Energy, Petrochemicals Fibers Challenging Dynamics for Nonwovens

Skyrocketing prices, instability, uncertainty. These are some of the challenges facing industries which depend heavily upon energy and its petrochemical derivatives. In this rapidly changing environment, business leaders, managers and researchers struggle to understand future trends in order to develop strategies which will position their companies to take advantage of opportunities and avoid pitfalls. While I don't have to have a crystal ball which will provide definitive answers, the goal of this paper is to review historical trends and highlight interdependent relationships affecting some key raw materials for nonwovens.
