Spiders are a species-rich and abundant group in agroecosystems and play an important role as effective components of natural pest control (Marc et al., 1999; Symondson et al., 2002). Landscape context is known to affect both pest species and naturalpest control agents in agroecosystems, since many of these species spend part of their life cycles outside cultivated areas (Buchs, 2003). The aim of this study was to estimate the impact of landscape context on spider assemblages in oilseed rape fieldsat different spatial scales.
