Photonic and Biophotonic Technologies: Impact on and Challenges in Photodynamic Therapy

This paper discusses advances in photonics/biophotonics that are integral to the continuing development of photodynamic therapy as a novel clinical modality. Challenges posed by new PDT paradigms are highlighted.
