Multiturn counter using movement and storage of 180√C-∞ magnetic domain walls

摘要

A sensor for counting the number of revolutions with true power-on functionality is one of the needs of the steer-by wire concepts for automotive applications. We have developed a new multi-turn counter which uses magnetic 180° domain walls for this purpose enabling the detection of up to 12 turns.
