Methods of combined treatment with photodynamic therapy (PDT) and chemotherapy are being developed for many years. First publications concerning this problem appeared in the 80~(s) of the XX century. It was shown in vitro and confirmed in vivo in experiments on tumor-bearing rodents that antitumor efficiency of photodynamic action increased when cytostatic agents with various mechanisms of action were used in the schemes of treatment. It is well known that the efficacy of combined treatment depends on the sequence of methods and on the period between chemo- and photodynamic therapy. The purpose of this research is to study the efficacy of various schemes of combined antitumor treatment including PDT with original photosensitizer on the basis of aluminum sulfonated phthalocyanine (photosens) and cytostatic agents.
