Soot is a product of combustion and pyrolysis of hydrocarbons. During its atmospheric lifetime of about a week, soot aerosol may affect the concentration levels of important oxidising trace gases (O_3, N_2O_5, and NO_3) and may thereby influence the atmospheric oxidation capacity [1]. The laboratory studies of soot particles give an understanding of soot reactivity, which probably depends on the properties of radical centres. In this work we studied the structure of soot particles formed during pyrolysis of the mixture C_3H_8(1.8 percent)+Ar(98.2 percent) in a flow reactor at temperature 1280K.
