A number of spectroscopic methods (EPR, NMR, CIDNP and laser-flash-photolysis) were applied to obtain kinetic parameters of reactions modelling imidazoline-N-oxide and imidazolidine-N-oxide mediated living polymerization of acrylates. The homolysis rate constants of alkoxyamines based on these series of nitroxides were measured using EPR at different temperatures.
