Choosing an electrical supplier for a project is a decision with long-lasting implications. Whether it is a modernization or a new project, the considerations are very similar. What criteria are important to consider and why? What criteria have been used on actual projects and how did those criteria work out? What criteria were not used but later wished had been considered? This paper will examine actual projects, the criteria considered, how the criteria worked out and any additional criteria that should have been considered.
