Reaching the Benchmark Performance in 2/2 Vessel Operations at Tata Steel (India)

In order to meet the ever increasing long products demand in the market Caster#3 was commissioned in October 2008 at Steelmaking Shop, LD#1 of Tata Steel (India) operations. With this the rated casting capacity was augmented to 3.3 million tons whereas the rated steelmaking capacity was still at 3.1 million tons leaving a potential gap of 0.2 million tons.
