The Application Progress of High Radiative Coating Technology in Ironmaking Industry

Since 2005, the high radiative coating technology has been applied to 397 BF hot stoves and coke ovens in more than 60 steel companies in China and some other countries, which saved huge amount energy. A New product: the environmental protection coating-non-Chromium coating materials was developed by optimizing the formula of coating raw materials. The automated production line with annual production capacity of 1500 tons was designed and completed in the past few years. All the application results in both Jigang and Shiheng Steel Co. confirmed that the coating could work for long-term. And the national standard "Energy Saving Specifications of Top-combustion BF Hot Stove with High Blast Temperature " and the Industrial sector standard "The Measuring and Calculation Method of Heat Storage Capacity with High Radiative Coating" were set up and implemented start from June 15th and July 1 st 2014. This technology has been included in the National Development and Reform Commission document issued the in sixth batch of key energy-saving technology and "energy-saving assessment and review guidelines about fixed assets investment projects (2014 version)".
