The Most Advanced Thin-Slab Technology for Coil-to-Coil Production

The QSP thin slab casting and rolling process was born more than 25 years ago, meanwhile gaining a significant market share in the production of flat products. Thin slab casting and rolling has been originally developed as a low-cost alternative to the conventional casting and rolling process route. However, due to the initial restrictions of this technology, only limited quality and productivity goals could be achieved, questioning the further application of this production route to more advanced products.
